this weekend, we spent some time on my parents’ farm
I felt the salt soak back into my soul
the big boys worked on the carriage house electricity
the little boys worked in the gravel pile
there was birthday cake, yard sell milkglass, laughing with my aunts, demolition derby (Joe took one for the team by taking our kids while I watched HGTV with my mama), a hayride and blackberry cobbler

she recently gifted us with this awesome table
wooden bowl and pool balls (that just sounds so wrong) were other recent finds

Graham decided that he really wanted to go to Lego Land in Atlanta for his birthday
we may have driven for six hours….
put in a 13 hour day of family time, lost our car for a bit in the parking garage, and Joey may have spent hour 12 explaining the difference between the speed of light and speed of sound to our very overextended kiddos….
but it was all worth it to make this guy happy!
Graham, you make me laugh on a daily basis, you like to make spirital analogies to Chima legos, you are so afraid of green beans and corn, and you always give me a kissing hand. I love you so. Watching you and Ava grow is my greatest joy.
