Not really but this space had not been painted since our house was built in 1983. Nasty carpet and an odd built in shoe rack had to go, that and six bags to Good Will

I ripped up carpet and painted the subfloor a glossy white. It was far from perfect but coved with this jute/cotton rug, it’s 1000 times better!

I found these basket trays and swooned. I can see them in fall on my dining room table with gourds and pumpkins, but for now they add a needed punch of texture.

I finally broke down and bought a real mirror. I fully get that this little diy doesn’t change the world, but it makes me smile every time I go in there and that’s something 🙂
