closet, change your life
Not really but this space had not been painted since our house was built in 1983. Nasty carpet and an odd built in shoe rack had to go, that and six bags to Good Will
I ripped up carpet and painted the subfloor a glossy white. It was far from perfect but coved with this jute/cotton rug, it’s 1000 times better!
I found these basket trays and swooned. I can see them in fall on my dining room table with gourds and pumpkins, but for now they add a needed punch of texture.

sweet Joey made me built ins with barn wood trim, I think barn wood must be my love language
I finally broke down and bought a real mirror. I fully get that this little diy doesn’t change the world, but it makes me smile every time I go in there and that’s something 🙂

I got a Sihouette Vinyl machine- love! A friend asked if I had a website for my goodies…..
I laughed and mentioned a mostly neglected blog. These are a few things I’ve made from my cell photos.

cream carpet on stairs with kids is always a bad idea
we finally got the courage to rip it off! only 55,000 staples later
gallons of putty, sanding, and sanding, and more sanding lead to two coats of oil based paint followed by two coats of poly to seal the deal
this wasn’t a hard project just very tedious, so glad it’s over!
