Each year our church hosts a valentine banquet for couples. Different people host a table and provide the china. It honestly wasn’t something I wanted to do. Then I started pulling out china from the far reaches of my cabinets and playing with burlap. Major fun ensued. A casual comment from a friend at the banquet spurred a little hope. A hope that maybe the fluffy stuff, the stuff I love to do but isn’t at all what I spent 6+ years in grad school for, is significant. Not change the world significant, but significant in bringing joy to my life. Thanks friend.

Do you go to CCPC? I grew up there and the youth always did a Valentine Banquet-just wondering! It is a rather small world…
Yes, we are loving the CCPC! It is a small world! I want to know more about the book you’re writing!
Oh it is nothing, just a small 300 pager! Worked on it for 3 + years!!! It is a “beach read” type novel. Currently in the editing phase, and I’m working on a BRILLIANT query letter to send to about a million and ten publishers. I secretly (well, maybe not super secretly) want to be rich and famous because of it, but we’ll just all have to wait and see…
Way to go! Will bring Miss May to the book tour and launch party! So very awesome!
