Saturday find us making pancakes, little feet dancing in the background

Don’t know why, but I keep the play dough in the pantry.  As I was getting it down, pasta crashed everywhere.

We made good use of it

First porcupines then of course, star wars ships

whiskers for A

Wish I’d thought of pasta/play dough combo before- hours o fun

March is a little late for pansies but I couldn’t resist

Love the color on my porch-

Good times with pancakes, pansies, and porcupines.

Sometimes you just have to hang up the Betty Crocker act and peel into Fresh Market-

Ava went with the Boston Cream, Graham the Black and White, while it’s Tiramisu for the hubs and I.

Featured Artist

Little Miss A is being featured at our town hall’s primary student art show!

Exhibit A:  1990s builder grade boob light replaced by

Exhibit B:  funky, vintage chandie from a friend =

Exhibit C:  One happy Kelley

In previous the post, we established my political aspirations:

If made president or queen, after abolishing human trafficking, ending world poverty/hunger, and establishing legislation to triple educators’ salaries, I’d do away with all boob lights everywhere!

I don’t have the stomach for politics.  The pretense and posturing are just too much for me.  With that said, I may reconsider……

It’s been another wild week with heavy loads to shoulder.  Then sweet Ava comes in my office and tells me she’s written about me.

My day turned on a dime.

Here is Alice in Wonderland-who rocked her school read-a-thon!

Oh and other good news bye-bye brass fire box!

Five for Five

So I have this friend who is an artist.

She’s creative and has all that the artistic temperament brings.  She feels and thinks deeply.

The gift brings the burden.

My artist friend is always thinking of others.  She creates cards, posters, and gifts of encouragement for others.  Today I had a chance to return the favor in a very small way.  I had fun coming up with a little gifty.

Less than five dollars and five minutes to assemble

It made me think, I don’t even know if five people read this blog.

But if they do, what if this week, five of us take the five for five challenge:

Five minutes, five dollars or less, and bless someone with a gift, prayer, or note.

Let me know if you’re in.

A and G

This is the toy designer/knight/crime fighter and

marine biologist/princess/poodle skirt wearing vet saving the day.

Ah, so glad these super heroes live here.

A fab friend took me to an incredible little antique shop

These treasures came home with me.

Major fun finding the letter-press set,

but more fun knowing that my friend knew I’d love it

……love that friend

Valentines Day started early, before six am early

Here is sweet A with cuddles

Sleepy G loved his star wars legos

Miss February

Miss February is a complex kinda gal.  She has contrasts that highlight her paradoxical strengths.

Joey thinks she needs a little bacon topper.

She’s dark chocolate cake with caramel icing topped with ganache and loads of sea salt.

This Miss February is off to the Daddy Daughter Dance.
